NanoSLICK

What is NanoSLICK?

Fire up your FLOWBACK!

NanoSLICK uses the power of Nano to alter rock wettability, reduce capillary pressure and flip rock from oil or partially oil wet to water wet.

NanoSLICK can be used on it's own as an additive in frac fluids to enhance flowback of frac fluids and then oil & gas, or it can be used to treat the hundreds of thousands of older wells that may have been underperforming for decades.

The most important part of the application process is the post treatment soak period.  NanoSLICK works by laying down a glass-like layer of silica which not only alters the properties of the rock where it is applied, the product also acts as a release agent and works it's way under oil, paraffin, asphaltenes and other skin damage inducing materials.  During the soak period, the material can also migrate further back into the formation where it is able to interact with a lager volume of rock than the original treatment volume.

NanoSLICK Deployment In a Nutshell

Deploying NanoSLICK couldn't be easier or less expensive.  To keep costs down for our clients, a tote of concentrate is brought to location which includes the NanoSLICK nano-particles as well as a powerful clay stabilizer concentrate.  The client supplies a locally procured vac truck, kill truck or hot oil truck filled with fresh water.  The NanoSLICK concentrate is then blended with the fresh water right in the tanker and pumped down one or more wells.

Once the NanoSLICK has been introduced to the well, either formation water or KCL should be used to fully displace the NanoSLICK into the formation.
Post-deployment, each well is left to soak for a minimum of 7 days.  This soak period is critical. During the soak, nano-particles in the treatment fluid will precipitate out through electrostatic attraction and form a silica mono-layer.  The particles will worth themselves through oil to reach the rock substrate.  Through brownian motion, the particles will travel through the formation water in search of untreated rock to attach to. This further extends the volume of pore space that can be impacted.  Once the soak period has been completed and a well has been turned on, attention needs to be paid to production timers to make sure that you are taking advantage of the increased fluid inflow.
